Liability for content
As a service provider we are responsible for our own content on these pages under the general laws. We are not, however, obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under the general laws remain unaffected. Liability in this respect is possible only from the point at which a specific infringement becomes known. Where we become aware of such infringements, we remove the content without delay.

Privacy policy
1. Controller
The controller for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Schorn und Peeters Rahmen GmbHLinienstraße 55 · 40227 Düsseldorf · Germany
Phone: +49 211 350 550 · Email: info@schornundpeeters.de
2. Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future.
Independently of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (the data protection supervisory authority for North Rhine-Westphalia), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
3. Visiting this website (server log files)
When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits data which our host stores in what are known as server log files. The following are recorded: the page requested, the date and time of the request, the volume of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and the IP address.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically faultless operation and the security of our website. The data are not combined with other data sources and are deleted after a short period.
Hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider. The provider is Alfahosting GmbH, Edmund-von-Lippmann-Straße 13–15, 06112 Halle (Saale), Germany. The provider processes on our behalf the data arising when this website is visited — in particular the server log files named above. The basis is a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR which we have concluded with the provider. Processing takes place on servers in Germany.
4. Contacting us
If you contact us by the contact form, email, telephone or fax, we process the data you send us — in particular your name, contact details, your message and any photographs you send — solely in order to deal with your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry serves the initiation or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. The data remain with us until the purpose ceases to apply and no statutory retention periods stand in the way.
Image files uploaded through the contact form are deleted from the web server once they have been transmitted to our mailbox.
5. Cookies and consent
This website does not use cookies for analytics or marketing purposes. Technically necessary cookies are used only in so far as they are required for the operation of the site; the legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).
6. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are served locally from our own server. No connection to third-party servers — to Google Fonts, for example — takes place; your IP address is not transmitted to third parties in this process.
7. Google Maps
On our contact page we offer a map display via Google Maps. The map service is loaded only after you have expressly clicked on it. Only then are data — in particular your IP address — transmitted to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give with that click and may withdraw at any time with effect for the future. Without your click, no data are transmitted to Google. Further information can be found in Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
8. External links
Our website contains links to external offerings, such as map services and our Google Business Profile. When you click these links you leave our website; the operators of the target pages are solely responsible for data processing there.
9. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address bar of your browser changing from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’.
10. Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements, or in order to reflect changes to our services. The new version will then apply to your next visit.
