A frame is not an accessory. It decides how a picture works — whether it is given room or crushed, whether it glows or falls silent. That is why every framing job here begins with a question: what does this work need?
We keep more than 250 mouldings in stock at all times — from minimal modern tray frames to elaborately carved or decorated period frames. What is not in stock is made in the workshop: to measure, after a historical model, or to your own idea.
Hand-carved, decorated with ornament, incising or sgraffito, and finished with authentic period surfaces. When an eighteenth-century painting has lost its frame, we give it one that belongs to the period — in technique, profile and finish.
High-gloss gold and white gold finishes, or natural wood mouldings with clean lines: contemporary art often calls for restraint — which is everyday work here.
For works that are meant to last: conservation framing using current museum-grade materials. This is how we work for museums and galleries — and for anyone who takes their collection seriously.
Mirrors in carved or plain frames, natural wood frames, and acrylic box frames for three-dimensional work, textiles or keepsakes.
You make the choice in front of the work itself, not on a screen. In our frame showroom, with the workshop next door, we hold mouldings directly against the piece. If you prefer, we will advise you at home — where the picture is going to hang. Collection, delivery and advice in person are part of the service.
